Commission Terms of Service: (Updated Nov. 6, 2025)
1. Please do not trace, edit my art, or remove my watermarks for any purposes or intent.
2. Do not use my art for commercial purposes. (Unless the client purchases commercial rights, which are typically 3x the final price.)
3. Do not train, reproduce, or otherwise use my images in any form of AI-generative software.

I reserve the right to decline any commission request. I also reserve the right to alter my terms of service and prices as needed after a new work is completed. (New rules will not retroactively affect any commissions made under previous agreements.)

All references and directions should be concise, up-to-date, and written in the English language.
Any changes outside of the initial project and quote must be discussed and approved. Changes may incur an additional fee depending on the complexity of the request.
PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Payments are required upfront unless discussed otherwise. Artwork will not begin until full payment has been received.

Full refunds can be requested at any time before I have started work on your commission. If the commission is canceled during the actual creation process, refunds will be calculated depending on the progress for a partial refund.
For example, if a sketch and/or a work-in-progress (WIP) update has already been sent, the client will not be eligible for a full refund and only a partial refund because the client has already received some form of work, even if it was unfinished.
I reserve the right to cancel and refund the money for a commission in full at any time.
COMMUNICATION
All communication will be conducted in English. Communication should be kind, polite, and clear regarding how the client wants their request to be. I will not tolerate discrimination or ill behavior, and it will lead to an immediate suspension of the project and your request cancelled. Communication will happen over email, so please check your inboxes.

REVISIONS
During the sketch, flat coloring, and final stage I will send you updates for approval and revisions.
Only three (3) minor revisions to the commission piece will be allowed. Additional revisions will incur a fee. (20% of artwork price per revision.) Revisions, after the final commissioned price has been submitted, will not be allowed.

Commissioners are not allowed to edit, nor allow anyone else to edit the artwork after completion. Commercial rights allow for usage in monetized projects but do not permit modification or editing of the artwork without written consent.
The sketching stage will have up to two revision phases. (For pose, expression, hair, outfit, or background elements.) The flat-coloring stage will allow another revision phase. (Color changes or slight alterations.) Edits or corrections beyond these will be subjected to an additional fee, so please be clear about preferences from the start. If the client has yet to respond to the final approvals after 7 days, I will consider the commission complete.

Commissions are worked on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may see my progress with most of them on Trello.
Due to commitments at my part-time job, some deadlines may be a tad longer. Delivery files will be sent via email. I will send you, the commissioner an unwatermarked, HQ version of your commission. Personal commissions will only be delivered in PNG format.
COPYRIGHT / USAGE POLICY
As the original artist, I retain all copyright and authorship rights to my artwork for any personal commissions. I reserve the right to repost, use, and sell created art in digital or physical form. I do not claim authorship to characters and other intellectual properties used, unless I designed the character myself at your personal request. Commercial rights are unavailable for clients on personal commissions. Commercial rights are a separate fee and must be discussed and agreed upon upfront. Personal commissions are for non-commercial use only with no direct monetization.

MUSIC VIDEO ILLUSTRATIONS
Music video illustrations must be discussed in advance. These projects require a written agreement outlining usage terms, royalties, and credit. Music video illustrations must be commissioned directly; prior artwork may not be reused without consent.

I must receive a minimum of 5-10% of total streaming revenue as the bare minimum. (Including platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Can be negotiated.) Additional royalties or flat fees may be negotiated depending on project scale, exposure, and distribution.
Failure to credit properly, fulfill royalty terms, or discuss merchandise intent will constitute a breach of contract and result in the immediate revocation of usage rights.
COMMERCIAL USAGE AGREEMENT
If the client wishes to commission artwork for commercial use, the total price of the commission, as well as any other royalties, will be agreed upon beforehand.

By purchasing the commercial rights (an additional 3x the base price), the client gains permission to use the artwork for any commercial purposes.

By purchasing commercial rights to the artwork, the client agrees that the artist retains all authorship rights to the artwork, proper credit must be given to the art wherever the artwork is sold or displayed. (Ex. "Illustration by neo_399.")
